About our school

Afterlee Public School is a small school set in an idyllic rural landscape within the Kyogle area. It is 5 minutes drive from Toonumbar Dam and The Toonumbar National Park. 

The school is well resourced with a library, classroom, music room, administration building, COLA, sports shed and kitchen garden. A full time Teaching Principal, Temporary Teacher 2 days per week. Instructional Leader 1 day per week. Music Teacher 1 day per week, SLSO (3-4) days per week, School Administration Manager 2.5 days per week and G.A one day per week.

Afterlee Public School is a member of the Community of Learners of Upper Richmond Small Schools (COLOURSS) which includes Barkersvale PS, Collins Creek P.S, The Risk P.S, Rukenvale P.S and Wiangaree P.S. and works collaboratively with with the Kyogle Community of Schools (KOS).

Our School aims to prepare students for a complex and changing world, with each individual student's potential recognised and developed. Foundational skills in literacy and numeracy are the cornerstone of our practice.

 Students are further engaged with a strong focus in the arts, science and technology and environmental sustainability. Extra-curricular and social opportunities including public speaking, representative sports and interschool activities are provided and encouraged.
